It has been a challenge watching Lia develop. She got so out of whack by 7-8 months that I could not be blamed for placing her in a pet home immediately - which I almost did. But I'm glad I didn't because her recovery thus far has been dramatic and I believe that she will make the ultimate cut here at Arylan. I have video of her at 7-8 weeks of age and her side gait was breathtakingly graceful with excellent reach and drive. You could not hope for more from a little puppy. Recently I have been training her on the treadmill and am seeing some of that same movement again. I have had Cardis who did not reach their full potential until they were 2 years old. I think we can afford the wait.

    She is willful, however, and does not like to be expected to do anything. Sometimes on the down and back she will look away into the adjacent ring, ignoring me and the judge. It's a little bit funny but you don't win points that way! She's a complicated girl - and a training challenge for Harry.

      If we succeed then Lia could become quite an asset here at Arylan. Look at that front!

     Lia is PRA line cleared through the U.S. registry.
     Preliminary hip x-ray looks very good. Will be OFA evaluated at 2 years.
