Arylan Tribute to Liberty (Oscar/Kiefer) x Eklectic Arylan Chiquita Banana (Chickie)

9 week photos.  If even 2 or 3 of these guys hold together it will make Chickie's first breeding quite successful.  What you can't see - you have to feel - is that each of these guys is substantial: thick boned, big ribbed, well-muscled, strong.  Their fronts look great too.  And they have happy, willing personalities like their Mom. 2010 could be a fun show year at Arylan.  Pedigree

INTRODUCING

Arylan Calling An Audible (Otto), my new main QB by Ch. Pecan Valley Passage to Juneau (Juneau) out of Eklectic Arylan Secret Alibi (Ali).  This was a breeder's audible play if ever there was one.  There we were on the 40 yard . . . er, Colorado Springs dog show.  Ali was at home nearing the end of her free agenc . . . I mean . . . fertile period.  Time was precious.  Time was the enemy.  I knew that.  I expected a shipment from Florida on Tuesday, but Monday would be better . . . a lot better.  And there he was on Sunday - standing in front of me like a mirage - Juneau: a flashy, physical boy who had been tearing through his championship like a Walmart shopper on black friday.  I had first met him in a barn in Cortez - nevermind why - and he had been rummaging through my consciousness ever since.  I knew that his owner Barbara Luce was new to the breed, sure, but she was serious enough.  And I could see she was no pushover.  Would she?  Could she? - let me take her beloved Juneau back to Albuquerque for a week or two to meet my hot little dish, who had let me down her first time out and was destined to go away to parts unknown after this last, final, desperate attempt.  I did it!  I called the audible!  Right there on the line of scrimmage.  End around.  Sweep play.  After a brief family huddle Barbara handed Juneau off to me like a hot potato.  I lateralled to Ali.  Ali shovel-passed to Otto.  Now he's running down the field like Crazy Legs Hirsch!  How far will he get?  Stay tuned.

INTRODUCING Arylan Flight from Justice, aka "Bonnie," my new puppy out of Lindy (Arylan Flying Start - whom I bred and co-own with good friend Jinnie Strickland of Solstice Kennels, El Paso). The litter was sired by PJ (Ch. Mariel's Flying Spirit), who is owned by Jinnie.  Bonnie is now 4 months old.
No doubt dreaming of her next caper!

Kiefer (formerly Oscar) is one of the nicest young Cardi boys I've seen. Unfortunately he's also one the fluffiest, having tested genetic F/F.  I will not miss this chance however, and he will be bred to a select bitch* in the near future. Meanwhile he has gone to join his Brother Riley with Rob and Nancy in Santa Fe and goes by the name of Kiefer.

*That select bitch was Chickie and the result is at the tope of this page. Way to go Kiefer!
